Thomas is the president and CEO of Capital Automotive Real Estate Services, Inc. Capital Automotive owns and manages $4 billion of net-leased real estate used primarily by large automotive retailers. Tom was one of the founders of Capital Automotive REIT in October 1997 and led its initial public offering in February 1998.  He is currently chairman of the board of The Munder Funds, a $13 billion mutual fund group. He is a member of the board of DuPont Fabros Technology, an owner, developer and manager of wholesale data centers, the Potomac School, and PlayPumps International, an organization focused on bringing clean water to ten million people in Africa. Tom is a graduate of the University of Michigan, and he resides in Great Falls, Virginia, with his wife and their three children.
