Jim is the president and CEO of Jefferson Apartment Group. Jim leads the investment committee, executive committee and advisory board.  He is responsible for the strategic planning and growth of the company, and is involved in all operational and investment decisions. Jim has over 28 years of experience in the real estate development industry, focusing primarily on for-rent and for-sale multifamily communities; he has been responsible for the acquisition or development of over 20,000 units. He is currently on the executive committee of the National Multifamily Housing Council and the NAHB Multifamily Leadership Board, a member of ULI, and active in a variety of local real estate and charitable organizations. Jim is married and has three children.

Cynthia had a short career in the retail industry serving in the buying offices of Mervyn’s Department Store and Accessory Lady. Following the birth of her first child, she developed a deep passion for motherhood, family, and child development, which led her to teach childbirth education classes for expectant parents. She also contributed to children’s ministry through her service in Vacation Bible School as well as leading prayer groups at her children’s schools.

Cynthia is a co-founder and retired founding board member of Ambleside School of McLean, a Christ-centered K-8 school guided by the educational philosophy of British educator Charlotte Mason. In addition to her work in education and ministry, Cynthia mentors young women in her church, and together with her husband. Jim, provides pre-marital mentoring for engaged couples.

Cynthia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Southern Methodist University. Cynthia and Jim are parents of three adult children.
