Stephanie Prechter

Stephanie Prechter earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University. After working as a political appointee at the U.S. Department of Agriculture for the Foreign Agricultural Service, Stephanie moved to the west coast, where she fell ill, then transitioned home to Michigan for recovery. Soon after, she worked as a Research Associate with the Prechter Bipolar Research Team at the University of Michigan. 

Following her work in research, Stephanie focused on suicide prevention outreach on both a local and state level working with populations ranging from high school students to retired NFL athletes. She completed a photography degree at Washtenaw Community College (WCC) and her Master of Fine Arts at Maine Media College. Stephanie serves as an Advisor for the Prechter Family Charitable Fund, an Advisory Board Member for the Prechter Bipolar Research Program, a member of the Friends of the Detroit River, and a Michigan Medicine Volunteer serving as Coordinator for the Life Images Program, a partnership between the Rogel Cancer Center and WCC.
