Mike serves as Managing General Partner of KHP Capital Partners, overseeing the investment of over $1.2 billion of investor equity in Kimpton and other boutique style hotel projects in six institutional funds. Prior to the sale of Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant, LLC to London-based IHG, Mike served as its president and CEO. He also served on the Kimpton Board of Directors. Under Mike’s leadership, Kimpton was named to Fortune Magazine’s list of 100 Best Companies to Work For five times, ranking 11th in 2015. Michael also currently serves on the Boards of Autocamp, a luxury “glamping” company and Qwick, a two sided marketplace for food and beverage gig workers. He also is special Advisor to the Shorenstein Companies, one of the largest owners of office space in the United States.

He and his wife are founding funders of the Millenium School, a lab school focusing on social and emotional learning in addition to traditional academic rigor. He is also a trustee of the San Francisco Boys and Girls Club.

Mike is a graduate of Michigan State and the Harvard Business School.

Holly serves as the National Board Chair Emeritus of the Spark Program and is a Board Member for the Boys and Girls Club San Francisco. She is an experienced board member with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit organization management industry. She is a graduate of Michigan State University and Harvard Business School Executive Education with a focus in excellence in non-profit board leadership. Holly and Mike live in San Francisco and Napa Valley, California.
