Michael Scarafile grew up in Mt. Pleasant and graduated from Porter-Gaud High School in 1991.  He graduated from the College of Charleston, with a degree in English, in 1995 and then went on to the South Carolina School of Law and graduated in 1998.  Scarafile clerked for the Honorable A. Victor Rawl in the S.C. Circuit Court before joining the McNair Law Firm where he spent six and a half years as a litigation associate.  In 2005 he joined Carolina One Real Estate Services, the market leader and largest real estate company in South Carolina handling over $3.5 billion in real estate sales in 2020, and took over as President in 2011 and as CEO in 2020.  He serves on the Board for Directors for the Realty Alliance and the Charleston Regional Development Alliance and as a Trustee for Trident Technical College Foundation.  Michael was named to the Charleston Reginal Business Journal’s Forty Under 40, has been ranked in 2017 and 2020 by the Swanepoel Power 200, recognizing the most powerful leaders in Residential Real Estate, and named one of Charleston Business Magazine’s 50 most influential people.  Scarafile currently lives in Mt. Pleasant with his wife, Julie, and their two boys, Vito, who is eleven, and Leo, who is eight, both attend Mason Prep School in downtown Charleston.
