Clayton is the CEO of International System Strategies (ISS), Inc., located in Atlanta, GA. He founded ISS in 1988 and has led the organization through the successful delivery of services in various industries throughout the U.S. and abroad.

As an accomplished Solutions Architect, Clayton helps to guide, direct, and advise decision-makers on ways their businesses can harness technology and gain a competitive edge in the marketplace. His technology expertise includes, but is not limited to, database technologies, programming, and mobile apps. Over the last 40+ years, U.S.-based businesses in the non-profit, government, and private sectors have benefited from his services. He has also architected solutions on an international level by helping ministers of telecommunications to strategically harness technology in their business applications.

In addition to his position on Herndon Foundation’s board, Clayton also served as a founding member on the board of directors for the DUKES Foundation for more than 10 years. He is still an active participant on the DUKES Foundation advisory board. Clayton has been instrumental in helping 5+ presidents of a non-profit organization and their board-level cabinet members to achieve their business goals through cutting-edge technology solutions.

Prior to founding ISS, Clayton was employed with AT&T as an internal manager and also as a sales consultant. He began his technical career as a software engineer with DuPont Chemical Corporation. Clayton earned a B.S. degree in Management Sciences from the University of Tulsa and an M.S. degree in Computer Science from Clark Atlanta University.  Clayton is a certified member and Project Management Professional through PMI and a lifetime member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
