Chief OPERATING OFFICER

Melanie is the Chief Operating Officer for PathNorth. She also spearheads our many events and trips. She met Doug as an MBA student at Georgetown when she took his class, “The Life of Work: Bringing Meaning to Business.”  She was immediately enthralled by the course material and speakers, many of whom were PathNorth members. She began work with the team part-time as she finished up her courses and joined PathNorth full-time in 2015. When she’s not at the office you can find Melanie exploring DC with her husband Harry and son George.

What is something about you that would surprise others? I see about 3 movies a week in the theaters…it’s a very time consuming hobby, but I absolutely love it.

What is your favorite PathNorth memory? Sitting at Dans Le Noir, a pitch black restaurant with all blind servers in London, when William Jones (son of PathNorth member Regg Jones) broke into singing the Phantom of the Opera and everyone in the restaurant went silent. It was an absolutely stunning moment. 

What is your top bucket list travel experience? A summer trip to Oslo & Stockholm.
