Fred co-founded Smart Business Network in 1989 with a single publication in Cleveland, Ohio. In the years since, he has built the company into a leading multimedia, events, and content marketing business with clients and readers across the U.S. Many of the top CEOs and corporate brands in America have been featured on the pages of Smart Business or had their executives speak at Smart Business events, including McDonald’s, Southwest Airlines, and The Limited. Smart Business events connect CEOs with the brightest business minds in the nation and recognize organizations and their leaders for savvy business practices.
Fred has served on numerous boards, including the United Way of Greater Cleveland and Cuyahoga Community College Foundation. He is a member of The 50 Club Cleveland, a prestigious group of top business leaders in Greater Cleveland and serves on US Bank’s Northeast Ohio advisory board, which consults with and provides advice and feedback to the bank’s president and senior management team.
