Experience
PathNorth members had a
taste of Oregon’s spectacular wine country on October 5-8.
As some of you know, the best pinot noir in the world hails from
Oregon, and one of our PathNorth members, Martin Barrett, is the
owner of an exceptional vineyard, Cana's Feast. Martin secured
an incredible line up for the experience including accommodations
at the world renown Black Walnut Inn. The several days together
were spent eating great food, tasting great wines, touring the
top pinot vineyards,(not typically open to the public), playing
a bit of croquet on Cana's Feast's own world class croquet lawn...
all this, while having conversations of consequence. Member’s
even participated in an actual “wine crush.” You
can only imagine the incredible experience had by all. The
central discussions focused on three aspects of the wine making
process; the vine “Where your roots come from”, the
crush “In the most crushing time of your life, what do you
sense happening to your character?”, and the wine “Who
will drink the wine that your life produces? What is your
legacy?”
